　　《西天佛子源流录》是记述明代藏传佛教高僧班丹扎释的传记，编著于明宣德年间。班丹扎释曾受永乐皇帝委派，四次出使西藏，见证、参与了明代前期中央与西藏地方的重大事件，其中之一即是受命代表皇帝前往西藏林芝审察大宝法王的转世灵童，肇开中央政府派员审查藏传佛教转世灵童的先河。此为清代道光九年抄本中有关审察灵童的记载。（杨鸿蛟）
